He was predeceased by: his parent Survain Mollyhorn Evans. He is survived by: his wife Jerry Burkhart Steff; his children, Terry Rodney Steff (Brenda) of Bowling Green, KY, Kimberly Steff Embry of Beaver Dam, KY and Evelyn Steff Dockery (Calvin) of Morgantown, KY; and his stepbrother Arlis Evans (Juanita) of Shepherdsville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
