It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucretia Louise Purcell of Caneyville, Kentucky, who passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Cecil Purcell; her son Clarence E. Purcell; her daughter-in-law Gloria Fletcher Purcell; and her siblings, Herman, Edgar Carter, Gladys Probus and Elnora Cockrill.
She is survived by: her son James C. (Jim); her daughter-in-law June Purcell; her grandchildren, Tracey Fulkerson (Gary), Darren Purcell (Jane) of Norman, Scott Purcell (Jennifer) of Paducah, KY, Allen Tabor (Kelly) of Leitchfield and James H. Tabor (Becca) of Short Creek; her great grandchildren, Shelby Collins (Grant), Seth Elmore, Sophia Blanton (Brad), Robert Purcell and Ethan Purcell; and her great great grandchild Henry Bennett Blanton.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the WHAS Crusade for Children or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
