He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmer Day and Dale Edwards Day; and his siblings, Earlene Minton, Carolyn Beasley, Clayton, Sherman and Billy Day.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Renfrow Day; his daughter Lynn Harris (Eddie); and his siblings, Doris Cooper of Caneyville, Judy Baxter of Duff and Delmer Day of Caneyville.
