He is survived by: his wife Della Combs Ely of Campton, Kentucky; his stepchildren, Kelly Gene Hounshell of Indiana and Lisa Gail Gryczkowski of Dallas, Texas; and his siblings, Keith Ely (Brenda) of Hazel Green, Donald Lee Ely (Joyce) of Campton, Paul Edward Ely (Tammy) of Florida, Sharon Smith (Dave) of Florida, Shirley Gray (Bill) of Florida, Dee Watson (Bob) of Florida, Wanda Fae Portee of New Mexico and Ruth Ely of Louisville. He is also survived by three step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren.
