He is survived by : his wife Kathy Campbell Burton of Campton, Kentucky; his children, Derek Burton (Krystal Spencer) of Campton, Kentucky and Morgan Janae Burton of Campton, Kentucky; his grandson Noah James; and his sisters, Mary Alice McWhorter (Butch) of Campton, Kentucky. and Lerraine McWhorter (Jack) of Campton, Kentucky..

Visitation was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Porter & Son Funeral Directors (769 Main St, Campton, KY 41301). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
