He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett L. Miller and Ruth Taulbee Miller; his son Robert L. Miller III; his granddaughter Bobbie Lee Jones; and his brother Tommy Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hanks Miller of Campton, Kentucky; his son Jimmy Scott Miller (Patricia) of Berea, Kentucky; and his grandsons, Roy Everett Miller and Austin James Miller (Amanda).
