He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas F. Miller and Edna Miller Miller; his wife Margie Marie Banks Miller; his stepson Mickey Pounders; his grandson Adam Oates; and his siblings, Carson Miller, Zella Ray O'Brian and Annie Goslin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elisa Oates (Kenneth) of Rockford and Sally McDonald (Joey) of Campton, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Kyle McDonald, Aaron Oates, Seth Oates, Karen Ross, Kimberly Whisman, Ricky Pounders and Sallie Sallie; his siblings, Thomas Miller of Hays, Elizabeth Kilby of Newport News, Martha Hawkins of Hays, Rosa Ethel Brown (Larry) of North Wilksboro and Lenna Spicer-Shew of High Point; and his daughter-in-law Mary Ann Pounders of Bethany, Kentucky.. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
