He was predeceased by: his parents, Cain Thomas and Nannie Rankin Briscoe; his son Arthur Clay Briscoe; and his siblings, Dewey Briscoe, Ray Briscoe, Jesse Briscoe, Edith Hollon, Kathryn Morgan, Ora Hall and Mildred Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Wanna Beatrice Myers Briscoe of Campton, Kentucky; and his children, Carl Dean Briscoe of Stanton, Kentucky, Sherri Kay Perry of Beattyville, Rose Elaine Bennett of Stanton, Lisa Marilyn Voss (Bill) of Lavery and Leslie Jo Campbell (Jeff) of Campton, Kentucky. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
