William R. Stayton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 3, 2025, at the age of 99, William R. Stayton of Campbellsville, Kentucky passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William R. Stayton to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Stayton and Lear Ruth Stayton (Christie); his wife Gladys Irene Williams Stayton; his daughter Dreama Lou Stayton Rafferty; his granddaughter Debra Lynn Rafferty; and his sisters, Leora Lavine, Beatrice Burton, Jewell Flinchum and Freda Stayton.
He is survived by: his brothers, Leadis R. Stayton (Susie) of Johnsport, IL and Lanous R. Stayton of Covington, KY.; and his nephews, Raymond Lee Stayton and Steven Flinchum.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the L. R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service (1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens (700 Old US 68, Campbellsville, KY 42718). An entombment was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers donations are suggested to be made to the Galilean Children's Home and can be made at the funeral home.
