John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Stokes Sr. and Ezma Mitchell Stokes; and his daughter Julia Stokes. He is survived by: his former wife Doris Jean Davis Crabtree (D. J.); his wife D. J. Stokes; his stepchildren, Gene Crabtree (Sue) and Sharon Force (Carlos); his stepgrandchildren, J. P. Crabtree (Annette), Amy Hisle, Chris Force (Huki), Matt Force, Amanda Spaw (Ricky), Thomas Grammer, Nick Benningfield, Katie Watson (Trent), Megan Walls (Tanner) and David Crabtree Jr.; and his sister Charlotte Knott of Owensboro. He is also survived by two nieces and many other relatives and friends.
