He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Rucker and Ina Coontz Rucker; his brother Bobby Rucker; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Rucker, Arletia Rucker and Willanna Rucker.
He is survived by: his wife Lesta Rucker of Campbellsville; his children, Richard Rucker and Diane Pierce of Campbellsville; his grandchildren, Jessica Hosier (Keehn) of Prospect and Andrew Pierce of Campbellsville; his great grandchildren, Evan Hosier and William Hosier; and his siblings, Raymond Rucker of Campbellsville, Johnnie Rucker of North Carolina and Carolyn St. Clair (Roger) of Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
