Gladys Katherine Mattingly Obituary
We bid farewell to Gladys Katherine Mattingly of Campbellsville, Kentucky, born in Marion, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 16, 2025 at the age of 87. Gladys touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Mitchell Whitlock and Mary Agnes Nelson Whitlock; her grandson George McNear; her former husband Paul Francis McNear; her husband Bill Mattingly; her daughter Nadine Johnson; and her siblings, Donnie Whitlock, Larry Whitlock, Ike Whitlock, Ralph Whitlock and Ruby Lamkin.
She is survived by: her grandson James McNear; her children, Trecia Buckman (David) of Raywick, Buddy McNear (Gayle) of Campbellsville, Nancy McNear of Somerset and Jolene Bentley (Bo Truax) of Campbellsville; her stepson Billy Mattingly (Janice) of Campbellsville; her granddaughter Kathy Quintana; her siblings, Minnie Pearl McCauley of Lebanon, Aileen Stovall of Shepherdsville, Rusty Whitlock (Carolyn) of Campbellsville, Connie Smith (Donnie) of Mt. Sherman, Roger Whitlock of Raywick and Sarah Buckman of Raywick; and her sister-in-law Betty Whitlock of St. Francis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the L. R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service (1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at the Mt. Washington Cemetery.
