He was predeceased by: his brother Tommy Vanover. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Payton Vanover; his daughters, Tracy Vanover and Ashley Vanover; and his siblings-in-law, Regina Vanover of Seco and Dallas Payton (Melissa) of Campbellsville.
