He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Wilbur Murphy and Daisy Hoosier Thomas (Wright); his wife Ruby Lena Murphy (Mikel); and his siblings, Denny Murphy and Linda White.
He is survived by: his children, Robbie Murphy of Campbellsville and Patricia Michelle Murphy of Louisiana; his siblings, Mary Cox of Lebanon, Barbara Abell of Lebanon, Geraldine McCarty of Lebanon, Carolyn Lee (Larry) of Lebanon and Jimmy Ward (Sandy) of Alabama; and his grandchildren, Gracie Lynn Murphy and Presley Schnipp.
