He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Allen Burris and Icolene Maupin Burris; and his brothers, J. C. Burris and Russell Burris. He is survived by: his wife Helen Campbell Burris of Campbellsville; his sons, Kevin Burris (Leann) of Knoxville and Stuart Burris (Glenda) of Bowling Green; his grandchildren, Lauren Farley (Jordan) of Spring Hill, Charlie Burris (Allison) of Knoxville, Lily Burris of Bowling Green and Nathaniel Burris of Knoxville; his sister Carolyn Rutherford of Salem, Indiana; and his sister-in-law Jewel Burris of Campbellsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
