He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Shofner and Gladys McCubbins Shofner; and his brother Milton Shofner. He is survived by: his wife Helen Joyce Howell Shofner; his children, Brian Scott Abbott of Summersville, Roy Dale Abbott of Summersville and Miki Lynn (Gary Feese); his siblings, Randall Joe Shofner of Mt Sherman, KY and Linda Marcum Thompson of Campbellsville, KY; his siblings-in-law, David Howell of Campbellsville, KY and Christine Dawson of Elizabethtown, KY; his grandchildren, Gary Wayne Feese Jr., Marissa (Josh Roy) and Monessa Feese; and his great grandchildren, Lavontea Jordan, Jaelyn Smith, Jada Smith and Memphis Roy. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
