He was predeceased by: his son Ricky Cox; and his siblings, Robert Don Cox, James "Pill" Cox (Amanda) of Nancy, KY and Gay Reed. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Cox (Garrett); his son Bobby Dean Cox, Jr. of Miami, Florida; his stepson Raymond "Buzzy" Simpson (Chasity) of Summersville; his brother Paul Cox (Cedell) of Shepherdsville; his half-brother Junior Ratcliff of Greensburg; his close friend Chad Rooker; and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Cox and Connie Gribbins. He is also survived by three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
