He was predeceased by: his parents, Arland Benningfield Sr. and Mary Nellie Marrs Benningfield; his siblings, Layla Fox and Arland Benningfield Jr.; and his pet Decca.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Benningfield of Campbellsville; his sons, Billy Benningfield Jr. of Nebraska, John Benningfield, Sr. (Raywick) and Donald Benningfield (Holly) of Bullitt County; and his caregiver Kathy Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
