He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon C. Abney and Viginia M. Abney (Farmer); his wife Barbara Chilton; and his siblings, Lyle Abney, Steve Abney and Joyce Gillespie.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Johnson (Rob) of Campbellsburg, Chuck (Bonita) of Madison and Neil Abney of Campbellsburg; his brother Rodney; and his sister-in-law Becci Abney of Machesney Park, Illinois. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
