With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Helen (Tharp) Simpson of Campbellsburg, Kentucky, who passed away on May 15, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Gilbert and Elizabeth Tharp (Jones); her husband James T. Simpson; and her siblings, Hazel Harmon, Jean Payton, Faye Callis, Kay Taylor, Donald Tharp and Ray Tharp.
She is survived by: her children, James T., II (Melanie Simpson), Gregory D. (Cheri Simpson) and Jill S. Long of Crestwood, Kentucky; her siblings, Martha Nelson (Ray) of Campbellsburg, Linda Williams of Campbellsburg and Steve; and her sister-in-law Rita Tharp of Bedford, Kentucky. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
