He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Swaney and Helen Chapman Swaney Williams; and his siblings, Carol Swaney, Freddie Swaney and Joe Swaney.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Martin Swaney of Calvert City; his children, Tanya Tyrrell (Brian) of Washington, Roger D. Swaney (Kim) of Houston, Texas, Jeremy Swaney (Tiffany) of Houston, Texas and Josh Swaney (Crystal) of Houston, Texas; his stepdaughters, Barbara Evans (Dawn) of Paducah, Anne Smith (Matthew) of Villa Hills and Mary Beth Moser of Rutledge, Florida; his siblings, Joyce Northup of Springfield, Ohio and Glen Swaney (Karen) of Brady, Texas; and his grandchildren, Brittany, Megan, Allie, Samantha, Mason, Kynzi, Saylor and Whitley. He is also survived by five step grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calvert City United Methodist Church (571 Oak Park Blvd, Calvert City, KY 42029). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
