She was predeceased by: her husband Lex Walter Thornton Sr.; her close friend George Benton; her daughter Debra Lynn Thornton; her granddaughter Lisa Marie Dean; and her brothers, Luster Collum, Donald Collum and Douglas Collum.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine Thornton, Lex Walter Thornton Jr. (Rhonda), William D. Thornton and Michelle Cletcher (Kent Sr.); her grandchildren, Danny Jo Dean, Lex Thornton III (Chantelle), William C. Thornton (Destiny), Zachery Cletcher (Shelby), Michael Thornton, Kent Cletcher Jr., Alexis Thornton, Alexis Williams, Madison Hannan, Joseph Thornton and Amber Scott; her brother William Collum; her great grandchildren, Caden, Kierian Thornton, Carson, Cameron, Abigail Thornton and Gabe Smith; and her sister-in-law Diane Collum. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
