He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Dempsey and Rosa Proffitt Bishop; his wife Patricia Bishop; and his daughters, Jenoah Crowder, Melissa Rose and Diona Thurman.
He is survived by: his children, Rose Scott (Michael) of Pekin, Crystal Hill of Calhoun, Keith Martin (Kemberly) of Winchester, Indiana and Angela Price of Calhoun. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
