He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Bryant and Lily Loretta Simmons Whitaker; his wife Debbie Whitaker; his son Houston Bryant Whitaker; his granddaughter Emmalee Grace Bowlds; his brother Larry B. Whitaker; and his brother-in-law Ranny Joe Troutman.
He is survived by: his former wife Deborah Lynn Wells; his daughters, Shelby Lynn Decker (Shawn) of Calhoun and Kristie Lee Bowlds (Andy) of Calhoun; his daughter-in-law Brittany Whitaker of Calhoun; his grandchildren, Ashby Rice, Sydney Cessna (Thomas) of Zane Decker, H. B, Caroline Whitaker, Lily Bowlds, Kayleigh Bowlds Hughes (Michael), Kerstyn Decker and Kaleb Decker; his great grandchildren, Anniston Cessna and Ellington Cessna; and his sisters, Lois Kuegel (Rod) of Owensboro and Lori Troutman of Calhoun. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.
