With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kay Layton Pate of Calhoun, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 13, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cook and Ethelyne Abney Cook; her son Brent Layton; and her siblings, Fred Cook and Linda Morris.
She is survived by: her former husband Richard Brent'Dickie'Layton; her husband Walter Leo'Cisco'Pate; her son Scott Layton (Marsha) of Calhoun; her stepchildren, James Pate (Cynthia) of Owensboro, Joseph Pate of Owensboro and Amber Johnson (Kenny) of Owensboro; her grandchildren, Samantha Baggett (Joey Hinton), Hayden Johnson, Easton Johnson, Jase Johnson, Nathaniel Pate and Wyatt Pate; and her great grandchildren, Lucas Baggett and Lillian Baggett.
