He was predeceased by: his mother Lelia Smith; his stepfather Charlie Smith; and his father Sam Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Letha Taylor; his children, JoAnn Hamilton (Ricky), Darrel Taylor (Sheila), Dianne Miles (Sterett) and Bryant Taylor (Deanna); his friend Charles "Corky" Gray; his grandchildren, Michelle Hamilton, Aaron Hamilton (Becky), Cathryn Shupert (Aaron), Leah Taylor, Cameron Taylor and Westyn Miles; his great grandchildren, Hunter Young and Palmer Mae Hamilton; and his stepgrandson Gavin Sanders.
