He was predeceased by: his parents, James Monroe Calhoun and Lucille Marie Noel Calhoun; his son James Nelson Calhoun; and his siblings, Marvin Calhoun, Robert Calhoun, James A. Calhoun, Garland Calhoun, Raymond Calhoun, Albert Calhoun, Lurline Stallons and Martha L. Calhoun.
He is survived by: his wife Pauletta Stephens Calhoun (Stephens) of Cadiz; his daughters, Dietta Carr (Mike) of Medina and Tracy Oakley (Jason) of Cadiz; his grandchildren, Stephen Carr, Casey Niemann (Tim), Kayla Choate (Cody), Kali Oakley, Kristen Oakley, Micah Calhoun and Laken Calhoun; his great grandchildren, Noah Choate, Ayden Calhoun, Maddox Dunn, Shiloh Dunn and Mackenley Dunn; and his sister Myrtie Hudson of Paducah, Kentucky..
