It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sue Mathis of Cadiz, Kentucky, who passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Elliot and Mary Elizabeth Rodgers Hawkins; her husband James E. Mathis; and her siblings, Robert, George, Richard, Roy, Ray Hawkins and Louise Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, James "Jimmy" Mathis, Jr. (Leslie) of Cadiz and Candy M. Harper of North Augusta, SC; her grandchildren, Shiloh Mathis, Moriah Hancock, Wesley Mathis, Sierra Mathis and Duston Harper; and her great grandchildren, Gage Mathis, Ellie West, Casen Render, Skylar Mathis, Lanndon Mathis, Waylon Mathis, Jaxon Mathis, Thomas Paul Hart, III and Irelyn Acree. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Goodwin Funeral Home Inc. (138 Main St, Cadiz, KY 42211). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
