He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Cobbs and Francis Mauldin Cobbs; his sister Elizabeth Shaw; and his granddaughter-in-law Katie Cohoon Scott. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Cobbs of Cadiz, KY; his children, Jeff Scott of Dahlonega, GA and Lisa Scott Kennedy of Cadiz, KY; his sister Frankie Harris (Jack) of Birmingham, AL; his grandchildren, Chris Scott of Cadiz, KY, Cory Scott of Cadiz, KY and Cayla Duncan Rios of Bowling Green, KY; his great grandchild Cannon Scott of Cadiz, KY; and his grandchildren, Caden Scott of Cadiz, KY and CeCe Rios of Bowling Green, KY..
