He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Thomas and Ethylene Thomas (Cotton); his siblings, Anthony "Tony" Thomas and Sue Harrison; and his brothers-in-law, Claude Harrison and James Tomlin.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Sutton Thomas of Cadiz; his children, Tina Thomas of Cadiz, Toni Thomas of Cadiz, Sheryl Goforth of Cadiz, Ronald Bush of Cadiz and Donald Bush (Pam) of Cadiz; his sister Peggy Tomlin of Thompsons Station, TN; his grandchildren, Angel, Alisha, Jontaea, Kendra, Donald III, Sierra, Laykn and Karli; his great grandchildren, Ashlen, Zoi, Josiah, Elijah, Devyn, Huntley, Karsten, Kamri, Lucy and Carter; and his nieces and nephews, Bob Harrison (Ellen), Eric Harrison (Carmen), Jaime T. Street (Bennie) and Michelle Nagle (John).
