It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nicholas George Schmitt (Cadiz, Kentucky), who passed away on April 30, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Nicholas; his parents, Karl Schmitt and Helen Schmitt; and his brother Mike. He is survived by: his wife Molly Doyle Schmitt; his children, Michael and Amy Wood (Jim) of Baton Rouge; his grandchildren, Josiah McKune, Rebecca Blythe, Luke Calvert, Abraham Ambrose and Molly Anne Yates "May"; and his siblings, Hilda Carr, Ruth Hendrickson, Becky Williams (Neil), Suzy Stone, Karl Schmitt, Jr. (Melinda), Nancy Wimburg (Tom), Anne Schmitt and Paul. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Based on the duration of his illness and the current pandemic, cremation and a private burial ceremony will be held in Cadiz.
