He was predeceased by: his parents, Madison Hargis and Betty Simpson Hargis Wallace; and his brother Billy Hargis. He is survived by: his wife Debra Taylor Hargis; his daughter Melody Hargis Wolfe; his son-in-law Michael Wolfe; his grandchildren, Kaleb Wolfe (Madison) and Kelsey Wolfe-Laven (Austin); his great grandchildren, Mary Sue Laven and Luke Laven; and his sisters, Shirley Hargis and Rosie Hargis Page (Jamie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
