John H. Herndon Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John H. Herndon of Cadiz, Kentucky, who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Herndon and Maggie Dawson Herndon; his former wife Louise Herndon; and his siblings, Robert V. Herndon, Joe H. Herndon, Glenn Herndon, Willie Herndon, Lois Meador, Winnie Askew, Pauline Tucker, Ercel Malone and Cordie Leneave.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Smith Herndon of Cadiz; his children, John W. Herndon (Connie) of Cadiz, Steve Herndon of Gainesville, Fla., Debbie Birdsong (Monte) of Cadiz and Teresa Neal (Kevin) of Equality, Ill.; his stepchildren, Roger Smith of Chattanooga, Tenn., Kerry Smith (Anita) of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Judy Atkins (Terry) of Dearborn Heights, Mich.; and his brother Layton Herndon of Cadiz. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
