He was predeceased by: his parents, James Tandy Hammonds and Mary Monica Hammonds (Perry); and his siblings, Clarence Hammonds, Arthur Hammonds, Tommie Hammonds, Ray Hammonds and Mary Alice Laird.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Hammonds (Heather) of Cadiz and Daniel Hammonds (Deonna Cobb) of Hopkinsville; his sister Ethel Puckett of Cadiz; and his grandchildren, Leah Elaine Hammonds and Presley Boyd Hammonds.
