She was predeceased by: her parents, John Chesley and Ada Belle Knight (Francis); her husband T. H. "Rod" Herndon; and her grandson Kenneth Wayne "J. R.". She is survived by: her children, John Herndon of Cadiz, Tana Heffington (Mike) of Cadiz, Angie Jones (Dixie) of Hopkinsville, Lisa Sholar (Danny) of Cadiz, Karen Walker (Johnny) of Hopkinsville and Melanie Green (Chris) of Cadiz; her grandchildren, Tina Lynch, Brandi Doss, Jamee Fowler, David Sholar, Carrie Wright, Eli Sholar, Ean Sholar, T. C. Bush, Krista Groves, Josh Green, Jacob Green, Devin Herndon, Kelly Yazigi, J. D. Heffington and Brianna Wolfe; her close friends, Margie Thomas and Nikki Cunningham; her granddaughter Kyler Herndon; and her brother Chesley O'Dell Knight. She is also survived by twenty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
