He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe David Samford and Jo Alice Lester Samford. He is survived by: his wife Paula Griffith Samford; his sister Reatta Samford Barnfield of Benton, IL; and his grandchildren, Dixie L. Hall, Micah Samford and Maci Monroe Samford.
