It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Elmer Cowen of Cadiz, Kentucky, who passed away on July 21, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Cowen and Edna Shields Cowen; and his siblings, Gideon Ernest "Gid" Cowen, Gary Cecil Cowen and Linda Cowen O'Reilly.
He is survived by: his wife Nadine; his children, Ruthie Edwards (Jack) of Waddy, KY, Dora Cobb (Ricky) of Frankfort, KY, Cheryl Oldham (Sylvester) of Cadiz, KY and Elmer "Butch" Cowen of Henderson, KY; and his sister Rosie Stewart of Frankfort, KY. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and great grandchildren.
