He was predeceased by: his parents, Denford Kennedy and Martha Sanders Kennedy; his son Dennis Gayle Kennedy; and his sisters, Linda Jones and Shelby Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Derethea Ezell Kennedy of Cadiz; his daughter Penny Maroney (Gerald Mason) of Cadiz; his grandchildren, Tabitha Blandford (Wesley), Michael Maroney and Michelle Maroney; his great grandchildren, Paisleigh Maroney, Tinsley Williams and Alden Blandford; and his siblings, Artice Kennedy (Linda) of Olathe, Colo, Tommy Kennedy of Cadiz, Tony Kennedy of Scottsboro, Ala., Billy Kennedy of Cadiz, Ricky Kennedy (Holly) of Ozark, Ala., Timmy Dale Kennedy of Cadiz, Connie Gardner of Cadiz and Donna Jo Perry (Tim) of Cadiz.
