He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Burks, Sr. and Carrie Burks (White); and his brothers, James Melford Burks and Wayland Fraser Burks. He is survived by: his wife Norma Dean Burks (Moss) of Lafayette; his children, Jimmy Burks (Teresa) of Hopkinsville and Susan Stewart of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Ashton Stewart (Amber), Bradley Stewart (Brittney), Carrie B. Hobbs and Cayce Burks (Emily); his great grandchildren, Ella Joy Stewart, Liana Grace Stewart, Judson Thomas Stewart, Aniston Brooke Stewart, Malachi James Stewart, Chandler Mason Hobbs, Logan Carter Hobbs and Amelia Claire Burks; and his brother-in-law Tommy Moss of Lafayette.
