She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Claude Hale and Ovalene Hale; her spouse Almont Dawson, Jr.; her brothers, Claude Allen Hale and Jackie Darnell Hale; and her grandson Anthony Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Dale Dunbar of Hopkinsville, Bruce Wayne Dunbar of Hopkinsville, Teresa Burks (Jimmy) of Hopkinsville and Sherry Allen (Mike) of Hopkinsville; her sister Brenda Towe of Madisonville; and her grandchildren, Bobby Shane Dunbar, Erin Dunbar, Danielle Dunbar (Andrew Finch), Kathryn Holland (Jacob), Robert "Bobby" Wayne Dunbar (Velda), Carrie Hobbs, Cayce Burks (Emily) and Andrea Reynolds (Jeremy). She is also survived by her eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
