He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewel Burton and Jean Bean Burton; and his wife Bette Ann Flyte Burton. He is survived by: his children, Ann MacArtney (Doug) of Northlake, IL and Douglas Burton (Dayna Hill) of Cadiz; his grandchildren, Ashley Risa (Brian), Brian MacArtney (Sara), Abigail Nelson (Nick), Lillian Burton, Dale Burton, Joseph Burton, Alex Russell and EllaRae Stephenson; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Burton of Johnston City, IL and Jerome Flyte of Clarendon Hills, IL.. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Goodwin Funeral Home Inc. (138 Main St, Cadiz, KY 42211). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Cappetta's West Suburban Funeral Home (39 N Cass Ave, Westmont, IL 60559).
