He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Merchant and Olive Shiffer Merchant. He is survived by: his wife Gloria J. Merchant of Cadiz, KY; and his children, Donald J. Merchant and Jennifer Brinkman (Cesar). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
