He was predeceased by: his parents, David Elrod and Betty Godgiben Elrod Suggs. He is survived by: his children, Tarra Elrod (Brandon Kemp) of Decatur, Georgia, Adrianna "Krickett" Elrod of Cadiz and James William Gilford (Ashley) of Crofton, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Sage "Hot Rod" Messenger, Jace and Bryleigh Gilford.
