She was predeceased by: her husband Charles McCubbins; her parents, Hubert Cox and Wylma Proctor Cox; and her siblings, Wanda Elmira Caine, David Earl Cox, Audrey Foley and Joyce Caroline Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Geneva Parris (W. Howell Hopson III) and Charles Parris (Margaret Ann); her siblings, Opal Day, Linda Schreiber and Hubert Cox; and her grandchildren, Michael Parris, Jennifer Parris Jacobson, Shawn Perry and Eli Hopson. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
