He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolla Vater and Faye Fagley Vater; and his son Randall Vater. He is survived by: his children, Stacey Adidou (Zak) of Ludlow, Tina Donahue (James) of Erlanger, Stephanie Vater-Verax (Terry) of Union, Randi Vater of Edgewood and Brandon Smalley (Ronda) of Peach Grove; and his sisters, Rhonda Collins (Fred) of Ludlow and Tami Hall (Randy) of Alexandria. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
