He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Mitchell Porter and Vivian May Marksberry Porter of Dry Ridge. He is survived by: his daughters, Shelley Justice (Rick) of Falmouth and Debra Allen (Gary) of Falmouth; his sister Sue Bates (Dan) of Dry Ridge; and his grandchildren, Tyler Justice, Brandon Crouch, Kenyon Allen and Kameron Allen.
