He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Race and Vidas Sullivan Race; his wife Shirley Baker Race; his stepson Jimmy Poe; and his sister Janet Sharp.
He is survived by: his daughter Crystal Race of Falmouth; his stepchildren, Sharon Napier, Karen Dotson, Lynn Hamilton, Ricky Poe, Carol Mess and Candy Poe; and his granddaughters, Morgan Sorrell and Ashlynn Sorrell.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Woodhead Funeral Homes, Memorials & Cremation Service - Falmouth (310 W Shelby St, Falmouth, KY 41040). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Turner Ridge Cemetery Fund.
