He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Smith and Ethel Smith Smith. He is survived by: his wife Ann Smith of Busy, KY; his children, Larry Smith of Hazard, KY, Stacy Smith (Amanda), Randall Roberson of Floyd County, Lelia Miniard (Geary), Crystal Amburgey (Bennett), Melvina Melton (Benny), Odessia Bush (Denver) and Marie Sandlin (Kelly); and his siblings, Chester "Chet" Smith of Ohio, Elsie Neace of Ohio, Betty Shepherd of Ohio, Carolyn Neace of Chavies, Mimmie Baker of Barwick, Marilyn Estep of Lexington, Brenda Estep of Chavies, Linda McKenzie of Paintsville, Mona Faye Campbell of Campbell's Creek and Rose Mary Baker of Barwick. He is also survived by grandchildren, and a host of other relatives & friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home (301 E Main St, Hazard, KY 41701-1922). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
