He was predeceased by: his parents, John Louis Hopkins and Mary Ellen Hill Hopkins; his wife Edna Hopkins Rawlins; his son Danny Padgett; and his sister Jean Rawlins.
He is survived by: his children, Delbert Hopkins, Robert M. Hopkins, Lisa Hopkins French and Jackie Hopkins Stanton; and his sister Sally Greene. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pisgah Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
