She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Lee and Katherine Whitlock Wilson; her husband George Randall Claxton; her siblings, Ernest Lee Wilson, Jr., Timothy Lee Wilson and Karen Louise Harrison; and her grandsons, Joshua James Harrison and Mark Logan Kennedy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Connie Gilmore (Charles Hoke) of Parkers Lake, KY and Sharon Harrison of Burnside, KY; her brother William Wilson of LaFayette, IN; her sister-in-law Brenda K. Wilson of LaFayette, IN; and her grandchildren, Meadow J. Viola, Chelsey Jane Leddon, Joseph Leroy Gilmore, Charles Beckelhimer, Jr. and Cody Jacob Combs. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
